Gabriele Antonelli #
Ciao Gabriele! We are so happy to have you here and know more about you. Please tell our players a little about yourself.
Hello! I'm Gabriele Antonelli and I'm from Italy. My passion for the IT world began at a young age when I first started tinkering with computers and exploring the vast possibilities of technology. I taught myself various programming languages and web development skills through online resources and personal projects. In 2020, I took my passion to the next level by enrolling in the Computer Science program at the University of Pisa. At university, I have deepened my knowledge in numerous areas, from web development to advanced programming concepts. Besides this, I have many hobbies: I'm a sporty guy who goes to the gym regularly, I love traveling and discovering new cultures, and I constantly challenge myself to achieve new goals and push my limits.
Woah, University of Pisa! Now we know why you are inclined towards computers! π
How did you come to know about CSSBattle?
I discovered the CSSBattle website thanks to a friend of mine. One evening, feeling bored, we decided to challenge each other to some "quick" challenge and stumbled upon this site. It all started as a fun game, solving one or two targets a day. Gradually, the site became a significant part of my life, evolving into a daily pastime.
So glad to hear that π. What are your thoughts on CSS? What makes it interesting for you?
The reason I love CSS so much is its ability to create infinite shapes, colors, and websites. Anything you can imagine can be brought to life quickly with the right knowledge. Often, we are used to coding with hundreds of lines without a proper interface. I would describe CSS as the language that makes the abstract world of programming concrete and visually stunning.
Many people say "CSS is easy or it's not really a programming language". What do you want to say to those people?
As Ludwig said CSS may seem straightforward at a basic level, but mastering it requires a deep understanding of design principles and advanced techniques. Creating responsive, accessible, and visually appealing layouts is a challenging and intricate process.
Absolutely! Any tip/suggestion for people who are starting to learn CSS?
Don't try to learn everything all at once. Start with the basics. Imagine a picture of regular shapes, overlapping texts, and different backgrounds in your mind, and try to replicate them. The web world is filled with countless tutorials and resources to guide you through every step. With patience and perseverance, you'll eventually master the skills you need and create stunning, professional-looking websites.
What's the best part of playing at CSSBattle? Has it helped you in any way?
The best part of CSSBattle is the daily challenge, making you think for hours about a winning approach. The dedication and effort you put in are always rewarded when you achieve your goals. We must not forget to mention the incredible CSSBattle community. With the Discord server, it offers hundreds of solutions to learn from and hundreds of users to chat and exchange ideas with about different targets and concepts.
It is players like you who make our Discord community the sweetest CSS community on the planet. Thanks for being there ππΌββοΈ! What's that one thing you want to see in CSSBattle next?
I would love to see unique challenges between individuals, like 1vs1 or 2vs2 formats, as it would make the experience more interactive and engaging. Additionally, the idea of seasons that was mentioned before isnβt a bad one. This would allow for multiple leaderboards and would prevent the need to solve 200+ targets just to reach the top of the rankings.
You are in for a surprise, soon π! Its been an honour and pleasure to have you over at CSSBattle, Gabriele! Seeing you break records one after another is an absolute treat! We hope to make CSSBattle enjoyable and a learning experience for everyone. Thanks for your time and cheers to many more battles!
